About

Silversmith Dance Theatre create live theatrical dance performances through artistic collaborations. The company’s work focuses upon human themes and narratives, inviting the audience to explore the worlds of interesting characters, stories and environments, to create thought-provoking contemporary work.

Founded in 2006, Silversmith continues to develop and is at the forefront of experimental performance. Our ethos is informed by an emphasis on the live experience where all elements of the work (movement, sound, costume, lighting, etc.) are integral to the performance.

Silversmith collaborates with new artists from diverse backgrounds on individual projects. Previous collaborators have included composer John Chambers, Catherine Pinhorn of Pindrop Theatre, and Trumpet Player Chris Dowding.
